Emily is a Senior Director overseeing the architecture, engineering and building compliance elements of capital projects. Emily’s training as an architect and in-house experience as a Head of Design and Construction provides her with unique knowledge and capabilities in managing projects. Her expertise in developing and implementing processes and procedures are unparalleled. She is familiar with all of the elements involved with the capital project lifecycle including real estate strategy and negotiation; site and building due diligence; project budgeting and cost control reporting; relationship management; executive presentations, program and design management; consultant selection and management; and infrastructure planning. Emily’s extensive knowledge and experience with managing design projects allows her to provide valuable insight on projects of any size.
Emily has provided national account management to clients throughout her career. She understands that as a leader, she has a commitment to the people and the process. She is adept at creation of and implementation of standards and developing process manuals for multiple phases of the project. Emily focuses on early phase ratification of stakeholder roles and responsibilities and setting out a streamlined approvals process. During design and construction, she evaluates each task with consideration to the interdependencies between contractor, vendor, and the client’s facilities engineering and maintenance teams.
Emily earned her Masters of Architecture from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, her B.A. from Yale University and is a licensed architect and AIA member in New York.
