Erica Benjamin, Associate Director, Project Management, brings more than 25 years of professional experience in design, construction, and business administration.  Most recently, Erica was a Senior Project Manager in the Department of Real Estate Development + Facilities at NYU Langone Health, where she worked on the Kimmel Pavilion project, a new surgical facility with 30+ procedure rooms, state-of-the-art imaging equipment, and comprehensive in-patient services.  Erica’s 11 years at NYU Langone included many specialized healthcare build-outs, including a robotic in-patient pharmacy, a blood bank, sterile processing, clinical and research laboratories, radiology, retail services, and several ambulatory care sites.

Erica brings a rich background in design to Macro, having run her own interior design and renovation firm for 8 years prior to shifting her focus to project management.  From high-end residential renovations to corporate office interiors to having a niche expertise in healthcare master planning and construction, Erica provides leadership across multiple service areas and industries.

Erica focuses on the collaborative process, from setting forth clear roles and responsibilities between team members at project commencement, to managing end-user expectations and addressing the details of the project “go-live.” Building lasting relationships with end-user clients by listening carefully to their needs is one of Erica’s greatest assets, as she believes project success starts with trust between all stakeholders.

Erica understands the complex requirements of providing and maintaining medical facilities and is highly skilled in delivering build-outs in compliance with NYS Department of Health guidelines, ambulatory surgical certifications, clinical and research laboratory licensing, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Erica holds a Bachelor’s Degree from New York University and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
