Nisan Gertz, Senior Partner at Macro Consultants, is a licensed architect whose background includes 17 years of experience in healthcare design and construction. Nisan has specialized in clinical, research and care delivery facilities within the healthcare real estate market for most of his career. He has vast experience in master planning; project design and development; construction/contract administration; budgeting and project financial management. Nisan’s expertise spans large complex capital project management to small MOB developments.
Nisan has earned a reputation as one of the most creative and strategic minds in the industry. His success in leading and mentoring others is clearly evident in the teams he has grown. Nisan established the Northeast regional healthcare practice for Jones Lang LaSalle, where he served as its national director. Prior to that role, he was a Vice President with Skanska USA Building, Inc. Nisan served as their Industry Leader for Health Care in the Northeast. His responsibilities included the growth and management of Skanska’s Northeast healthcare practice. Under his leadership, the region managed over $1.1 billion in capital projects in 2006, alone.
From 1996 to 2004 Nisan was a senior associate with the architecture firm of Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum (HOK Architects). As an officer with the firm, his responsibilities included the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of healthcare and research facilities. Project roles included project management, medical/lab planning, and project architecture. His project experiences ranged from expansive 4.1 million square foot academic medical and research campuses to small-scale clinics and laboratories. Nisan’s expertise includes an extensive knowledge of progressive medical equipment and procedures, which allowed him to design state-of-the-art facilities.
